A good friend of St\u00e9phane\u2019s was getting married and doing a destination wedding. She invited a group from work including St\u00e9phane.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He accepted, but was struggling a bit with who to take with him. Should he just split a room with one of the other singles from the Sportsnet group?\u00a0\u00a0Not really what you want to do on any trip, much less a vacation trip &#8211; split a room with a work colleague.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Side note: good thing he didn\u2019t. That work college he would\u2019ve roomed with found someone on that trip, and they\u2019re now married with kids.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So\u2026 he asked me.\u00a0\u00a0We were friends.\u00a0\u00a0Not dating (yet). We weren\u2019t really out at work as friends even. Didn\u2019t want the rumour mill swirling about what was up with the 2 gays at the network hanging out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So it was a huge thing for St\u00e9phane to ask if I could come as his plus one. The tides shifted at work a bit. People would know we were friends.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We booked an upgraded room. One where we\u2019d have more privacy.
