The First Date

After several days of talking via Facebook Chat, Ian and I decided it was time to meetup in person.

We weren’t calling this an actual date but more of a hangout. After all, we knew of each other already from work, but we also hadn’t really had a real in person conversation. The conversation online flowed naturally but would things be as smooth in person? It was time to find out.

We settled on meeting at The Churchmouse in the Village. A casual pub near our building. Nothing too crazy.

We got a booth upstairs and sat down. The conversation picked up exactly where we left it online. We got the chance to talk a lot more about where we come from and what our interests are. Ian opened up about everything he’s passionate about. We discussed at length Ian’s passion for snowboarding and the LGBTQ+ festival he had started in Blue Mountain. This guy was so interesting, so knowledgeable and so easy to talk to.

We walked home to our respective suites after a lovely evening.
